A Cleveland police officer gave a homeless man the shoes off his feet on a cold night in a random act of kindness.
Patrolman Jose Sadalua was with other officers as they responded to a complaint about a homeless man sleeping in the entrance way of an apartment building last Saturday night.
When the officers arrived, they did not arrest 57-year-old Glenn Kline, but instead asked what they could do to help the man who was apparently trying to stay warm as temperatures reached a low of 15 degrees that night.

That is when Sadalua, a 17-year veteran, became so concerned about the man that he then took his shoes off and gave them to Kline, according to Fox 8 Cleveland.
The officer then asked to to go home so he could get another pair of shoes in order to finish his shift.
‘They fit good and everything,’ Kline told Fox 8 Cleveland of his new shoes.

Kline, who is described as a fixture in Cleveland’s West 117th neighborhood, said he has been homeless for many years and feels unsafe in shelters, according to the station.
But he is grateful for the officer’s good deed and added that the officers help him.
According to Fox 8, the cop did not want anyone to find out about his act of kindness however his fellow officers ended up spreading the word.
One colleague said Sadalua did not do what he did for attention but simply because that is ‘just who he is.’
The act of kindness follows a heartwarming incident last week when a man was captured on camera giving the shirt off his back to a cold elderly man who was shivering on a New York subway train.
